1. Do your homework - find out exactly which aspect of the industry interests you.

2. Find out from someone who has a job you'd like, how they got there.

3. Remain focussed on what you want to achieve.

4. If you are interested in developing your own projects, try and pick up a specialised industry skill that you can live off between projects.

5. Network so that you learn about opportunities while they are still available.
