Hi All

It doesn't seem as if there is anything happening on this website, but I'll take my chances anyway.

I am extremely interested in television and the media. Currently I am a presenter at my company's in house television station. This has just increased my need to be part of the South African media. I am currently a trainer/educator at one of our countries major insurance companies.

What I'd like to do is to be mentored by someone who has been in this industry for a while and has made a success of her career. Anything in television, radio or even written media.

If anyone reading this can help me out, please let me know and I will mention your name in my acceptance speach when I receive my award for best new comer in a few years times!

This is such a waste of a good site, I hope it revives itself somehow.

Staying in the loop: Topic Subscriptions and RSS

If you want to stay abreast of posts in various forums (i.e. you want to see all the new job postings or upcoming events etc.) without having to revisit the forum regularly you can use e-mail subscriptions or RSS feeds.

To subscribe to a forum:

1. Select the forum or topic you are interested in.
2. Once open, select either Forum Options or Topic Options on the right sight of the topic/forum title.
3. Select Subscribe to Topic and select Immediate Notification of New Posts by Email

You will now receive notifications of new posts via email.

To read the RSS feeds:

1. Download an RSS Reader (like Sharpreader www.sharpreader.net - or see here: http://blogspace.com/rss/readers for a list of others
2. Once installed, you can click on the RSS icon next to any topic or forum to automatically receive updates to the forum.

Forum User vs. WIFTSA Member

Registered Forum Users can view and post to some of the discussions and topics in the forum. However there are some restricted topic areas to WIFTSA Members (resumes/CVs, Calls for Proposal and others). These topics are identified as to WIFTSA members - and will not be visible to non-members.

If you are currently a registered Forum User (you'll see Non-Member next to your posts), you need to become a WIFTSA Member to gain access to the restricted areas of the forum

If you have applied for and become a WIFTSA Member and you don't have access to the restricted areas in the forum, contact the forum administrator (Admin) and your status will be upgraded.

Forum Registration - View All Forum Contents and Contribute to the Forum

This forum is intended for everyone's use - BUT- we do ask that users register with us so that we can have a measure of control over the content of the forum.

To register: simply select [Register] at the top left of the page and enter your details. Once approved, you'll have unrestricted access to the forum.
